PUM은 한국 정치의 현주소와 공정하고 정직한 정치 문화를 만들기 위한 목적으로 만들어진 단체(한국 미국 합작 법인)입니다.

PUM은 ‘품격있는 정치’ ‘품위있는 정치’ 올바른 언론 문화를 만들고 함께 살아가는 민주사회를 만들기 위해 노력하는 것을 그 목적으로 합니다.

PUM에서는 회원 여러분이 작성한 어떠한 데이터도 무단 복제 및 방출에 엄격하며 순수하게 PUM 내부에서만 활용하는 데이터로 처리할 것입니다.

p-um(품)은 현대 사회의 파편화된 정보들 사이에서 잃어버린 '본질에 대한 사유'를 회복하고, 이를 타자와 공유하며 함께 성장하는 지적 공생의 공동체를 지향합니다.

'p-um'은 한국어 '품'의 음차로, 이는 중의적인 철학적 함의를 지닙니다.

포용(Embrace): 서로 다른 존재와 사유를 가리지 않고 받아들이는 넉넉한 품을 의미합니다.

태동(Incubation): 아이를 품듯, 하나의 아이디어가 성숙한 철학으로 발아하기까지의 인내와 고찰의 시간을 상징합니다.

노동(Labor): '발품'이나 '손품'처럼, 진리에 도달하기 위해 요구되는 정직한 지적 노력을 존중합니다.

본 플랫폼은 기술 중심적 사고로 치닫는 시대적 흐름 속에서, 인간 소외 현상을 극복하기 위한 인문학적 대안을 제시합니다.

비판적 성찰의 장: 단편적인 지식의 습득을 넘어, 현상의 이면을 꿰뚫어 보는 통찰의 힘을 기르는 것을 목적으로 합니다.

수평적 대화의 공동체: 권위주의적 지식 전달체계를 탈피하여, 각자의 고유한 경험과 사유가 교차하며 새로운 가치를 창출하는 아고라(Agora)를 구축합니다.

가치 중심의 큐레이션: 범람하는 데이터 속에서 인간의 존엄과 윤리적 가치를 환기할 수 있는 정제된 콘텐츠를 엄선하여 제공합니다.

www.p-um.net은 정답을 강요하는 곳이 아닙니다. 오히려 더 나은 질문을 던지고, 그 질문을 함께 '품으며' 각자의 내면을 확장해 나가는 여정의 동반자가 되고자 합니다. 우리는 이곳에서 각자의 고립된 섬을 연결하는 다리를 발견하고, 사유의 지평을 넓히는 경이로운 경험을 공유하게 될 것입니다.

PUM에서 제공하는 국회의원 정보는 열린 국회 데이터베이스와 열려라 국회(참여연대 자료), 메니페스토의 자료를 중심으로 내부 정치전문가들과 평론가들의 자료로 만들어지며 회원 여러분들의 참여로 지속적인 데이터베이스의 축적을 통해, 보다 공정하고 투명한 정보를 제공하고자 합니다.

PUM: A Sanctuary for Political Dignity and Intellectual Solidarity

PUM is a U.S.-based non-profit organization established to introspect the current trajectory of Korean politics and to cultivate a political culture rooted in fairness and integrity. Our mission is to foster a democratic society where "dignity in politics" and "decency in discourse" prevail, supported by a healthy and righteous media environment.

PUM strictly prohibits the unauthorized duplication and dissemination of any data created by our members and will treat it as data used purely within PUM.

'Pum' (www.p-um.net), which analyzes politics, history, and social issues, is a group of experts from the U.S. and Korea studying various issues facing the digital democratization era. 'Poom' aims to create and provide in-depth materials on political analysis, historical issues, and social problems to create the world that the people desire and aspire to. PUM is incorporated in Illinois, USA, and operates as a non-profit.

The information on National Assembly members provided by PUM is based on data from the Open Parliament Database, Open Parliament (People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy), and the Manifesto, along with materials from internal political experts and critics. We aim to provide fairer and more transparent information through continuous database accumulation with the participation of our members.
